We'll put up details of the two
year olds as we get their names. You can also find them if you're desperate or
simply curious by looking on the Sales Stock
page. |

Three
year olds |
|
"Cape Rock" (2005 b.c by Cape Cross colt
out of Wildwood Flower
(Distant Relative)) half brother to four winners out of the
winner of the Ayr Gold Cup. Sold to Con Horgan for Gns55,000 and ran a
couple of times as a two year. |
|
"Agon Eyes" (2005 b.f. by Stravinsky filly out of Dixie Eyes Blazing
(Gone West)) half sister to
four winners from the family of Zafonic. Sold to Denis Coakley for
Gns13,500. She's not got any ability. |
|
"Northgate Lodge" (2005 c. by Hold That Tiger out of Sabaah
Elfull (Kris) half brother to two winners
by a first season sire. He was sold to Willie Browne for Gns20,000
at the DBS St. Leger Sale and is owned and trained by Mel Brittain for
whom he has run three times this year without getting placed. Boring
name. It's the name of the trainer's yard. |
|
"Slim
Jim Phantom" (2005 c. by Compton Place out of Lyna (Slip Anchor) third foal out of the
mare and a half brother to a 2yo winner. Sold to James Given for Gns26,000
at the DBS St. Leger Sale. Pity about the name. Didn't appear last year. |
|
"Run from Nun" (2005 b.f by Oasis Dream out of Nunatak (Bering)
half sister to Nunatall a Gr.3 winner in the USA
and three other two year old winners. Sold to David Redvers for
Gns28,000 and trained by Jamie Osbourne. Yet another stylish name.
Now trined and owned by John Berry for whom she has been placed on the all
weather. |
|
"Milanollo" b.f. by Soviet Star out of
Military Tune (Nashwan)
half sister to five winners including two Stakes placed
fillies Nice Tune (Diktat) and Play That Tune (Zilizal). Sold
to Richard Frisby for Gns105,000 and in training with Michael Bell.
She ran twice unplaced as a two year old but started 2008 with a promising
second place, running on after a slow start in a one mile maiden on the
all weather at Kempton Park in late February. |
|
"Conquisto" ch. c. by Hernando out of Seal
Indio (Glenstal)
half brother to five winners including 2yo Listed winner
Prism(GB). Sold to Clive Cox for Gns32,000. And that's a proper name for
colt.
Three unplaced runs as two year old but did show some speed. |

year olds and older |
|
"Deep
Purple" b.g. by Halling out of Seal Indigo (Glenstal)
he was trained on the flat by Marcus Tregoning and won on his debut at
three. He did not progress from that and after a spell with Andrew Balding
for a new owner, Paul Green, he switched to a new trainer he ran up a
sequence of five wins over hurdles in 2007 finishing with the Grade 2
Novice Hurdle win at Ascot on December 21st.
He ran a strong race on unsuitably soft ground to finish second in
the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown in January and could be a contender
for the Supreme Novices Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. |
